Reem is a Qatari-born artist living in London. Through her experience in costume design, she has formed monumental structures of the iconic Abaya. Her installation, The Oud Abaya, serves as a poetic symbol that weaves a narrative about her dreams and heritage.

She interprets how society responds to women, both in the past and the present, through her own lived experiences as a Qatari navigating life in cosm London and contemporary society. Reem co-owns a tailoring workshop providing basic tailoring, dressmaking but also creative costume. Reem’s studies in philanthropy have focused on the role of civil society and the state in social development, with particular attention to issues such as children without parental care, social enterprise, and the concept of circularity in fashion. Reem currently works as an NGO analyst and researcher. The key highlights of her philanthropic studies include understanding the importance of a thriving civil society and private philanthropy in fostering social autonomy for development.
